These terms apply to every booking made on this site or directly with our team. We keep them short and in plain language. If anything here is unclear, message us through the contact page or on WhatsApp before you book.

Who can rent with us?

You can rent from us at 21 for economy, compact, and automatic cars, and at 23 for the SUV, convertible, and 9-seater van. Your licence must have been held for at least 2 years. Drivers under 25 pay a young-driver fee of €7 per day, added at checkout.

EU, UK, and US licences are accepted as they are for stays under 30 days. For US and Canadian visitors an International Driving Permit is recommended but not enforced; any licence printed in Latin script works. Bring the physical licence and the credit or debit card used to book.

What does every rate include?

Every rate is all-inclusive. It covers Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), theft protection, third-party liability insurance, unlimited mileage, a second driver at no extra charge, and 24/7 roadside assistance. There is no credit-card surcharge, and you can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before pickup.

If the car breaks down, call us first — day or night. Roadside help in Croatia is coordinated with HAK, the Croatian Auto Club.

What are the excess and deposit rules?

Economy cars require no deposit at all — see our economy rates. All other classes require a refundable pre-authorization of €200–400 on a card at pickup, depending on the class. The hold is released within 7 days of return, provided the car comes back as it left.

The pre-authorization is a deposit hold, not your liability cap: with standard CDW the insurance excess runs €800 on economy and compact classes and up to €1,200 on the van and convertible. If you’d rather carry no risk, optional zero-excess cover costs €9 per day and reduces your excess to €0.

What is the fuel policy?

Full-to-full. We hand the car over with a full tank and you return it full. If the tank is not full at return, we charge the missing fuel at local pump prices. There are fuel stations within a few minutes of both our Gruž office and the airport pickup point.

Can I drive to Montenegro or Bosnia?

Yes. Day trips to Montenegro (via Karasovići) and Bosnia (Mostar) are allowed with our €45 cross-border pack, which includes the mandatory green card. It must be declared at booking — cars taken across the border without it are not insured outside Croatia. Check current crossing conditions with the Croatian Ministry of the Interior before you travel.

Who pays fines, tolls, and parking charges?

You do, for the whole rental period. Croatia has no vignette; the A1 motorway is tolled per distance at toll gates — rates are published by HAC, the motorway operator. If a fine reaches us after your return, we are legally required to pass your details to the issuing authority and will forward the notice to you.

What is the damage procedure?

  1. At pickup, we walk around the car together, note any existing marks, and you photograph the car yourself. Two minutes now saves any debate later.
  2. During the rental, if you have an accident — even a minor one — call the police on 192 and then call us. Insurers require a police report; without one, CDW may not apply.
  3. At return, we inspect the car together and you photograph it again before handing back the keys.

What if I return the car late?

You have a 59-minute grace period after the agreed return time. From minute 60 we charge one extra rental day at your booked rate. Running late? Message us on WhatsApp and we’ll do our best to adjust.

How do I pay?

All prices are in EUR. You pay on pickup — Visa, Mastercard, Amex or cash — with no prepayment required when you book. The price we confirm by email is the price you pay; the only possible extras are the ones listed on this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia. Any dispute that we cannot settle amicably falls under the jurisdiction of the competent court in Dubrovnik. Questions first, though — Paula answers every message personally via the contact page.
