About Nikša

Nikša Perović owns and directs TECHNIC ONE d.o.o., the Dubrovnik company behind Dubrovnik Car Rent. According to the Croatian court register, Nikša has been the company's sole member and its only management board member since it was founded in May 2020.

Nikša's passenger business in Dubrovnik goes back to 2008, when the Gari water-taxi craft was entered in the crafts register in Nikša's name. Visitors know that business today as Gari Transfer.

Nikša is the editor of this site: every page and guide is read before it is published and checked again when prices, border rules or the Old Town traffic zone change. If you find something out of date, Nikša is the person to tell.

What Nikša writes about

  • Cars with a driver in Dubrovnik
  • Airport and cruise-port arrivals in Dubrovnik
  • Day trips by road from Dubrovnik
  • Driving into Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Dubrovnik's Old Town traffic zone

What this site is for

People planning a stay in Dubrovnik want a few things settled before they land: who meets them at the airport, how close a car can get to the Old Town, how long the border takes on the way to Kotor, and what a car with a driver should cost. A lot of what is online is stale, with prices in a currency Croatia no longer uses and border rules that have changed.

The pages here answer those questions from sources anyone can open: the airport, the port, the City of Dubrovnik, the bus company, government ministries and the laws themselves. When a number is an estimate rather than an official figure, the page says so.

How every page is checked

  1. Sources you can open. Fares, timetables, tolls, border rules and opening hours come from the airport, the port, the City, government ministries and the operators that set them, and the page links to each one.
  2. Dates on every page. Each page says when it was published and when it was last checked, and no page is given an earlier date than the day it went live.
  3. Read before it goes live. Nikša reads every page before publication, and again when a price, a timetable or a border rule changes.
  4. Corrections are visible. When a reader points out something out of date, the page is fixed and its check date moves forward.
